What You Will Need to Obtain a Zoning Permit

APPLY ONLINE for a Zoning permit. 

1. Complete an online Zoning Permit Application.

2. A survey or plot plan will need to be uploaded indicating the placement of the proposed structure. The dimensions of the structure and the distances from said structure to all property lines must be included on the survey/plot plan provided. 

***Before submitting a completed, online Zoning Permit application, we recommend contacting the New Milford Building Department, 860-355-6090, as our process has changed and the Building Department may require sign-off from our office, as well as other Departments (Inland Wetlands, Health, and Sewer) within the Town.

Once submitted, the application will be reviewed by Zoning Staff.  Please allow a minimum of five (5) business days to process the application. After the application has been reviewed, the Zoning office will contact you via email if any additional information is required or if a Zoning Permit can be issued.
