The Town Clerk's Office manages Trade Name Certificates for businesses conducting business in the Town of New Milford.

Trade Name-Persons For use by individuals, unincorporated organizations, and quasi-government organizations. Addendum (To be used if 3 or more persons are associated with the Trade name)
Trade Name-Business Organizations For use by entities that are required to register with the Secretary of the State. The entity must be actively registered with the Secretary of State's office and current with all annual reports. The law no longer allows for the use of business designators (LLC, Corp., Inc., LLP...) for any trade name.
