The New Milford Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission (IWC) was established in 1988. The IWC carries out the requirements of State Statutes to assure proper use, protection, and maintenance of the Town’s freshwater wetlands and watercourses.

The Wetlands Enforcement Officer performs site inspections, reviews permit related documents, and is available for consultation by appointment.

The Inland Wetlands Commission regularly scheduled meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 pm in the Loretta Brickley Conference Room - Lower Level  Town Hall (unless otherwise noted).
