Established in 1971, the purpose of Zoning and its Regulations is to guide the growth and development of the Town so as to promote beneficial and convenient relationships among residential, commercial, industrial and public areas within the town, considering the suitability of each area for such uses, as indicated by existing conditions, trends in population and mode of living, and future needs for various types of development.
The Zoning Commission meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Loretta Brickley Conference Room, lower level of Town Hall (unless otherwise noted).

For inquiries regarding a property and/or the Zoning Regulations, please send a detailed email to zoning@newmilfordct.gov specifically stating your questions and/or what information you are requesting. Please provide as much information as possible as the information will aid staff during the review process to accurately assess and answer your questions.

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Loretta Brickley Conference Room, lower level of Town Hall (unless otherwise noted).
